Happy Holidays!!

I apologize for the lapse in meetings as things were a little hectic for a few months.  That said, I'm happy to announce a new location for our meetings at the new Google-esque Hy-Vee Helpful Smiles Technology building just west of the Toyota dealership on 141 in Grimes, IA.

Come and join me for an evening of SQL Server and pizza!

Hy-Vee will be sponsoring and will give us all a tour of some of the facilities like Madison Square Gardens, the gym and workout areas, the gaming area, and possibly Sheldon's living room from the Big Bang Theory!

We will conduct our meeting in the 'Master Chief' meeting room so our registrations will be limited to 30 people.

Microsoft MVP Ed Leighton-dick, will be presenting.

Ed leads I-380 PASS, the Iowa City chapter of the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) and organize s our local SQL Saturday events.  He is also a frequent volunteer with PASS in other capacities, including Midwest Regional Mentor.  He speaks frequently at local, regional, and national events, including user groups, SQL SaturdaysIowa Code Camp, and the PASS Summit

Topic: SQL Server: Now It’s Everywhere You Want to Be (SQL Server on Linux)

Have you heard the news? SQL Server is coming to Linux! What? That can’t be right… or can it?

With the release of SQL Server 2017, Microsoft really is bringing SQL Server to the Linux platform. They’ve also       added support for running SQL Server in Docker containers. How does it work? And how well does it work? In this session, we’ll answer these questions (and more!), and we’ll talk about how this enables some interesting  new possibilities for DevOps.

WE are limited to 30 Registrations so Register below now:
