Learn tips and tricks from the professionals.  No sales pitch, just a bunch of Data Huggers getting together to learn something new!

Always on and High Availability Groups

Description:  We will cover the basic setup of Always On High Availability in SQL 2014.  This will include (but not limited to), initial setup of Always On (how to turn it on), creating the High Availability Groups (HAGs), testing failovers, and backup and restoring databases that are part of a HAG.

Presenter: Brian Todd

Brian has been a DBA for almost 6 years now.  He started with IBM in June of 2009.  Currently he has been focusing his time on health checking and performance tuning.  He has experience in SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 and 2014.  In His spare time He enjoys spending time with His family (currently preparing for baby #2 due late April) and is a self-proclaimed gamer.  Brian lives here in the area and works for Alliance Technologies.

Be sure to bring your government-issued photo id (driver's license), as Microsoft requires this identification in order to be admitted to Microsoft offices.
