The Cloud and SQL Server
The Cloud is an important technology that is impacting our industry tremendously. The economics of the technology is such that the Database, Big Data, and BI professional have no escape from it. In this session we will look at with the cloud is, as it relates to SQL Server, BI, and Big Data. Through interesting discussions and demos we will learn how to make cloud real for us, as a DBA or a BI/Big Data Analyst. In this session we will also discuss the different options available to leverage SQL Server in the cloud. Cloud Security will be discussed and demoed in this session.

Sudhir Gajre is a Principal Technologist with Microsoft. He has been with Microsoft for over 13 years, specializing in Relational Database Technologies, BI, and Data Warehousing. He has been in the Data Management and Analysis field for over 20 years. He is frequent speaker at user groups and conferences and has authored tuning whitepapers.
His experience is predominantly in architecting, designing, and tuning VLDB databases and mission critical applications. Performance, Scalability and High Availability are his core areas of expertise. He also works with Cloud for the Database and BI architectures.

Bring your appetites! This will be a Microsoft sponsored event, and a meal and beverages will be provided. Additional detail will be provided here when available.
